There is no doubt in our mind Nicole's love for animals. Nicole has had a passion for all animals since a young age, often bringing home many strays that became important members of her family. So there was no surprise when she decided to go into rescuing those that need a loving, forever home and founding All Breed Canine Rescue.

Nic's passion in veterinary care include a vast array of medical cases & raising puppies, and is incredibly compassionate and dedicated to making the life of all our pets better.

Nic has been a fabulous member of our team for several years, and if not for her compassion and dedication alone, her experience as a veterinary nurse is valuable.

Nic is a Furmum to a very naughty Bulldog called William.

Kirra Kennelly

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Lovely Kirra first came to Furkids as a keen volunteer when she was only 13. Her talents, natural ability and eagerness to learn was quickly recognised, and Kirra was employed as a trainee nurse after only 3 months of experience. Now, 4 years on, Kirra is still loving her job and all the things involved in working in the veterinary industry as a very much loved member of the Furkids team.

Often the quiet achiever but quick to crack a joke, Kirra's quick witt & spark is a refreshing addition to our busy & often stressful environment.

A way to her heart is food, and everything except for raisins and corn, and is always up for the opportunity for food remuneration.

Learra reflects our admirable core strengths of excellence and dedication to her work, with her continued supportive attitude & knowledge that is often evident to our clients, especially our breeders.

Outside of work time, Learra is a keen boater, or otherwise snuggling on her couch with the furbabies TV series binging.

Kelly has been a part of the industry on and off for 15 years.

What drew Kelly to the industry is working with all the different kinds of animals and their owners.

Kelly has a few different pets, including Penelope her great dane, Peaches her British bulldog, her 2 French bulldogs Lucy & Timmy, her horse named Whiskey & Mickey her ragdoll.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys showing her dogs, riding horses and spending time with her family.

Amy Nairne

Trainee Nurse (Currently completing Cert II)

Amy has worked in the industry for 4 years now. She originally started working in Equine for 3 years and has been working with small pets for the last year.

What Amy loves about her position is helping great owners take care of their pets, improving pets’ quality of life and just helping animals as a whole. Seeing animals get better and make a full recovery is one of the best parts of the job.

Amy has a 17 year old thoroughbred horse named Comet who loves swimming, carrots & pretending he is on a racetrack even when they are supposed to be going for a “relaxing” ride.

Amy enjoys riding her horse, going to the gym and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys live music and good food.

If Amy could be any animal, she would choose to be a cat living life on her own terms while always being pampered and relaxing.
